Mundane Life
I have to admit life has been pretty boring the last couple of days. Between grocery shopping and cleaning the toilets there has not been much to it. P. has been working late (it’s 2:57 AM and he should be home any second now) for a new client. I actually talked on the phone this afternoon without screaming or name calling. P. called a little after we hung up to say my mom called him to let him know I was more civil!
P. has promised not to work late Thursday or Friday and to take me out both nights. I’ve been wanting to see Pirates of the Caribbean.
I did start my period so I guess I’m not pregnant. The thought had me freaked out. Now I’m actually pretty sad that I’m not.

One Last Thing…
Okay, I had one last thing to say and then I really am going to go unpack some of those boxes!
Before P. and I were engaged we sat down and wrote a marriage contract. This isn’t anything like a prenuptial agreement. I wrote down what I wanted when married, and he wrote down what he wanted. It was actually fun to compare notes and negotiate. Sometimes we would get into a fight over stupid things. The biggest fight we had was his computer room. He has a bedroom full of old computer parts with this awful wood bench that he nailed together. He also has a room for his office. I wanted him to clean out the computer room so that I could have it as my writing room. He finally admitted it had been several months since he actually worked on anything in that room. I on the other hand had to throw out any of my books that would not fit on the bookshelves he installed in the room.
We ended up writing a ten page document in Word with everything we could think of!

Welcome to my blog!
Welcome to my blog! This has been one hectic month! I graduated the week of the 14th and married that Saturday! P. and I went backpacking in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park for almost a week. Then we had to move my stuff from my parents’ house to our house. Wow! It is hard to believe I have a house now! It’s hard to believe how much crap I had to move. At first I thought it would all fit in P.’s Escalade. After we boxed it, we had to rent a small UHaul! All of my stuff it piled in one of the spare bedrooms and the garage. That’s my job for the next two weeks – sort through it.
My parents are still pissed off about the whole deal. They did come to see me yesterday while P. was at work, and we ate lunch together (which I cooked BTW). I started a list of things that they claimed to be upset about from their visit:
- I married right after graduation.
- P. and I have only known each other six months.
- P. is nine years older than me.
- I’m not sure if I want to go to college.
Personally I think they are also upset about the fact the P. makes more money than they do and our house is bigger. Of course they wouldn’t say something like that.
My best friend S. is looking for a new job. She works at Hickory Hollow Mall which is really not a great place to be anymore. The type of people hanging out there now are rough. She wants to find a job working with kids since she is starting MTSU this fall to major in Elementary Ed.
I think I will start a new post for my next ranting…
E.
